The Unique Benefits of Amazing Grace Lutheran Preschool…

*We are a licensed child care facility through the Municipality of Anchorage. (You can review our inspection report on the muni’s website under the Dept. of Heath & Human Services.)

*Our staff is one of the best!  All teachers have teaching experience and higher education backgrounds.  They are required to maintain 10 hours of child development studies each year and are certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.  Our building is equipped with an AED.

*Safety is our first concern.  Our building and classrooms are locked during school hours with the exception of the main entrance.  All visitors must check in with the office staff at the entrance.  Fire Drills are practiced monthly.  Amazing Grace is a participant of the Great Alaska Shake Out and earthquake drills are reviewed throughout the year.  Other safety procedures are set and in place.

*We do not require parents to participate in the classroom.  Parent volunteering is welcomed but not mandatory.  If done on a regular basis, volunteers are required to have the same background checks as our teachers, so that our children are always assured a safe environment.

*We do not require the parents to purchase snacks or drinks for the classrooms.  We provide everything for snack time, including milk.

*We offer an optional lunch bunch program from 11:30-12:30 p.m.  This provides the child with more socializing opportunities and more time for parents if needed.

*Our Preschool has a music program where children attend music class once a week with a teacher that has many years of experience teaching music to children.  Children sing songs and play with several different types of instruments.  They also have the experience of performing in front of a crowd.

*Amazing Grace Lutheran Preschool incorporates basic Christian learning in a kid friendly way through chapel once a month in the sanctuary with the pastor and teachers.  Parents are always welcome at chapel!  We also have prayer before snack time.

*We have an outstanding reputation and have been in business of teaching preschoolers for 25 years!

*We provide a monthly newsletter to help keep parents informed of their child’s learning and special events.

*We offer added events such as the Fall Carnival, Thanksgiving Feast of Favorites, Christmas Programs, Mother’s Day Tea (Pre-K only), additional holiday parties, visits from animals with the Alaska Zoo, themed days and weeks, special lunch bunch events, a big year-ending all school picnic, and too many others to list!
