Grades 9,10,11,12 (High School) Youth Group - Important Dates

 

September             3              Wednesday          7:00 Mission Team Interest Meeting  (parents and students entering high school by September 2009)

 

September             7              Sunday                  Western Roundup - Rally Day after 9:45 service (we need students to work at the game booths)

 

September             28            Sunday  12:15 pm Sr. High Youth Group - Parent and Youth Meeting

 

 

Please plan to attend the Parent and Youth Meeting on September 14. We will be discussing the options for High School Youth Group and Sunday School. This will also be an opportunity to hear from the Design Team and express your ideas for staffing for Youth Ministry at AGLC.

 

We are currently looking for a Volunteer High School Youth Group Coordinator. Email or talk to Sue Zager.

 

High School Youth Group Coordinator

• Work with high school students to plan and lead monthly (possibly weekly at Gloria Dei)  youth group meetings for 9-12 grade

                        Bible Study/Devotions

                        Fellowship/Games

                        Service Projects         

• Work with Special Projects Coordinators to promote and participate in "all AGLC youth" service projects.
• Coordinate special fellowship opportunities (i.e. Lock-ins)
• Coordinate registration and recruit chaperones for Leadership Training School (fall), Alyeska Ski Weekend (January) and All Alaska Youth Gathering (March) and other synod high school age activities.
• Communicate plans to parents, students, Youth Committee and church administrators (church bulletin, newsletter and website).
