Highlights of the Music and Worship Committee Meeting

July 17, 2007

Pastor Tom Miller, our new interim pastor, will be preaching in the month of August except for August 26^th. 

Our worship themes for August and early September are the following:

August 5:   Caring for Creation

August 12:  Favorite Hymn Sunday

-          Based on the name tag vote from July 22 and 29^th.

Begin a new series:  Growing Together in Christ

-          We are all children of God.

-          We promise to teach in the baptism service.

-          We promise to nurture children in faith and prayer.

August 19:   Nurturing Faith & Prayer

August 26^th:  Teaching the Lord’s Prayer and 10 Commandments

-          Two Services with Rally Sunday celebrated during the 10:30 service

September 2:   Placing the Word of God in Children’s Hands

-          Labor Day is September 3^rd

-          Two services involving as many teachers as available in Children’s Church

September 9:

-          Return to the three service schedule:  8:30, 9:45, and 11:00
