Trustees’ Report

Window coverings update:

Preschool folks have asked if they could have their old blinds put back up.  Beth Parsons says they're in fine shape and they don't need new ones.  We will take care of this soon.

New window coverings:

·        Determine functional and aesthetic needs and best options to accomplish this.

·        Solicit additional feedback from interested/concerned church members.

·         Report back to the council with options and pricing.

Priorities expressed so far:

Youth room, Nursery, Chris's office, and Gloria's office. All are known hot spots.

No vertical blinds. Perhaps the insulating accordion coverings (as in the sanctuary).

 Additional tasks to be addressed:

Investigate two cables hanging off the building outside Chris’ office window - one is hanging down and interferes with closing the door to the playground.   Not sure what either cable is for.

Schedule a general clean up day in September.

Other projects around the church:

With the help of Jack Froiland, our Eagle Scout, Derek Simmons, is organizing the placement of the sound equipment.  He cleaned out the attic above the janitor's closet and will be putting together a plan for placing the sound equipment, hopefully in the attic area, above the sanctuary.
